The New Inn is set in the magnificent Yorkshire Dales National Park with its dramatic peaks, delightful dales, rivers, waterfalls and caves and situated in the centre of the charming village of Clapham. Our chefs, Leo and Martin,work hard to create exciting modern and traditional dishes sourcing fresh ingredients locally wherever possible. Milk and cream is from the cows seen in the surrounding fields and is delivered daily.  Our Swales Dairy ice cream is made at Calm Slate Farm near Bolton Abbey.  Our main supplier of ales are Copper Dragon Brewery, Timothy Taylor and Black Sheep.

What could be better than home cooked rustic dishes using locally sourced ingredients?  Brookhouse offers an unforgettable dining experience in the North Yorkshire Dales.Your chef Alan Whitmore has more than 20 years experience from many local pubs and restaurants, and can design you a menu based on your requirements. Meat comes straight from Pearsons of Ingleton, our local award winning butchers, who source their meat from nearby farms in the Yorkshire Dales, many in Clapham itself. Our famous Steak Night takes place every Saturday, attracting both locals and travellers from far and wide!

Situated in the picturesque North Yorkshire village of Clapham, this Grade II listed building has been sympathetically renovated to include The Reading Room Cafe/Bar and bunkhouse.  The Reading Room is a place to relax and unwind any day of the week.  Open 7 days a week from noon, serving hot food, sandwiches and real ale. Open from 10am on weekends.  We can provide food and drinks for groups if given prior notice.  Please telephone to confirm opening times as may change depending on season.
