River House, Malham

Beck Hall, Malham

The Buck Inn, Malham

Youth Hostel Association, Malham

A Victorian Country house, with parts of the house originally built in 1664, offering superb breakfasts and evening meals. Centrally located in this beautiful Malhamdale Village amidst stunning scenery, with the Pennine way and other walking and cycling routes running just past the front door. A warm welcome awaits you on your arrival at River house.   River House has been awarded a 4 Star rating by the AA, since we took over in 2004 and an AA egg cup award for an outstanding breakfast and since 2007 we have had a pie award for our evening meals . Our aim at River House is to use local produce.

Beck Hall was built in 1710 and has been providing hotel and B&B accommodation since the 1930's.  Changes over the years mean that there are now 18 guest bedrooms, 13 double en-suite rooms and 5 twin room. Six of the rooms are 4-poster, the Green room plus Rooms 2, 6,9, Upper and Lower Riverside. We also have a spacious guest lounge where you can relax into the evening, plan the next days walks, or plot the 1 minute walk into Malham village to visit either of the fine pubs that will quench any thirst. On a colder winter night don't be surprised to be co-opted to maintain the log fire that occupies one end.

You are assured of a very warm welcome.  Built in 1874 on the site of an old coaching inn. The Buck Inn is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Sue and John pride themselves on the quality and choice of their cask beers and also on the food menu including the famous Malham and Masham Pie. Set in the centre of the village, we are the perfect place to start and end your walks. We pride oursleves on locally sourced home cooked food including Drake & Macefield award winning sausages, Malham & Masham Pie and our superb 21 day hung steaks.

Designed by John Dower, one of the most influential figures in the initiative to establish National Parks in Britain, this is a purpose-built Youth Hostel. Walking and cycling are the main attractions and the Pennine Way and Yorkshire Dales Cycleway both pass through this village at the heart of the

Yorkshire Dales National Park. The hostel has great facilities for educational groups as well as youngsters, with a safe, secure garden, a range of toddler's equipment for hire and a child-friendly menu. The famous Limestone pavements and Malham Tarn are within walking distance.
